BREVIUS project proposal received the Seal of Excellence

EMA submitted a proposal for the innovative BREVIUS project to the EIC Accelerator funding (a part of the European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot) in October 2020. A vast number of submitted applications suggest that there was a massive interest in this call. EMA’s BREVIUS project was not among the selected ones as funding was granted to less than 1% of applications. Nevertheless, we are very optimistic about our idea and BREVIUS development strategy. By receiving the Seal of Excellence certificate, it was further proved that our project submission was recognized as highly promising. This certificate is only awarded to the projects which were judged to deserve funding but did not get it due to budget limits. The received certificate confirms that we are on the right path, and we will continue developing BREVIUS technology, which will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the future of the fisheries sector.

The BREVIUS project is expected to be a game-changer in small scale and artisanal fishery that employ millions of fishermen. With its BlueTraker family of products and technologies, EMA is committed to ensure sustainable fishing and protect the sea environment, where BREVIUS technology will take an important part.
