We recently received a BlueTraker VMS transponder that had been operating continuously in Mediterranean waters for more than 12 years. What makes this even more remarkable is that the device was still fully operational when it was replaced by a new-generation BlueTraker terminal.
Throughout its service life, the transponder endured continuous exposure to harsh marine conditions, including saltwater, humidity, vibration, and changing weather conditions. Despite these demanding conditions, it continued to perform reliably year after year.
We are extremely proud to see such compelling evidence of BlueTraker's durability and reliability. The new generation of BlueTraker terminals supports the latest generation of BlueTraker fishing gear sensors, delivering automatically observed fishing Operation data, including exact trawling depth profiles, trawling duration, and more.
Additional capabilities include high-resolution magnetic compass heading, automated gear loss reporting, and a Digital Chain of Trust for trusted data submission, ensuring that operational data remain authentic, traceable, and tamper-evident throughout their lifecycle.
